'A little bit of a reality-check' - post-match reaction

Hull FC manager John Cartwright informed BBC Radio Humberside:

"They're a truly unsafe side to bet.

"So, bit anxious entering into the video game, but I understood that we prepared well - there were a couple of hiccups throughout the week however we had a good session Thursday.

"Courage is a requirement in any game at this level. Sometimes, you need to reveal a bit more guts than usual and I believed we did that today.

"Effort-wise and grit-wise, we completed well. We did the fundamentals a lot better than we have actually been doing, which's the structure of your video game. We need to do that nine times out of 10 now."

Leeds Rhinos manager Brad Arthur informed BBC Radio Leeds:

"A little a reality-check isn't it? Basically, we're not as good as we believe we are. Some of that ill-discipline is not what I desire our club to be about and become part of.

"It was pretty embarrassing, some of the discipline in the second half. A lot of chaps simply wish to discuss the referee instead of doing their own task. Unsatisfactory.

"It's actually disappointed me. We need to get to the bottom of it [the ill-discipline] and find that out on Tuesday [when the players go back to training]

"What's changed? We went well in Vegas. So what? We need to accept some responsibility and throw down the gauntlet."
